The Terriers continue their Sky Bet Championship campaign on Wednesday 15 March, back at the John Smith’s Stadium against Norwich City.

In the last meeting between the two sides back in August 2022, the Terriers were defeated 2-1 at Carrow Road, which saw Pat Jones score in the 81st minute – five minutes after coming off the bench.

THE OPPOSITION

Norwich City currently sit seventh in the Sky Bet Championship and are only two points behind Millwall in the top six.

The Canaries come into this game following a 0-1 home defeat to Sunderland on Sunday 12 March, with Abdoullah Ba’s first half goal the difference.

David Wagner was appointed Head Coach of Norwich City in January 2023 following the dismissal of Dean Smith in December 2022.

ONES TO WATCH

Onel Hernández

The midfielder joined Norwich City in January 2018 from German side Eintracht Braunschweig. In his first full season with Norwich, Hernández scored nine goals in a campaign that saw the Canaries promoted to the Premier League in the 2019/20 season. The 30-year-old left winger went on two loan spells in the 2021/22 season: first to Middlesbrough, where he made 17 appearances and scored one goal, and then to Birmingham City, where he made 22 appearances and scored three goals. Since David Wagner's arrival as Head Coach, Hernández has become a regular starer – this season he has made 33 appearances, scored two goals, and assisted four more.

Josh Sargent

Sargent arrived at Norwich City from German side Werder Bremen in the summer of 2021, after making a total of 83 appearances for Bremen’s first team in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and getting nine assists. The forward has been part of the United States international side since 2018 and has scored five goals in 23 appearances. The 23-year-old is the current top scorer for Norwich this season with 11 goals and he also has two assists to his name. Having missed three recent fixtures with an ankle issue, he returned to action on Sunday 12 March in the home loss to Sunderland, coming off the bench for the second half.

Teemu Pukki

Pukki signed for Norwich City ahead of the 2018/19 season from Danish team Brandby, where he had spent the previous three seasons scoring 46 goals in 103 appearances. Since being part of the Finnish international side since 2009, the forward has made 108 appearances and scored 37 goals. Pukki has remained with the Canaries through two promotions to the Premier League and two relegations back to the Sky Bet Championship, and has scored 87 goals in 188 appearances in total during that time. This season, Pukki has scored 10 goals and assisted eight more in his 34 appearances.
