The Terriers will resume Sky Bet Championship action when they host Bristol City at the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday 7 March; 7.45pm kick-off.

Town will be searching for a better result after a 2-0 defeat last time out against the Robins.

THE OPPOSITION

This is Bristol City’s eighth season in the Sky Bet Championship since they were promoted from League One in the 2014/15 season.

Nigel Pearson was appointed as manager of the side in 2021, making this season his second in charge of the side.

Pearson has led Bristol City to 14th in the league on 44 points after finishing 17th last season, with 55 points.

The last time Bristol City won at the John Smith’s Stadium was back in November 2020. Nigel Pearson’s side will be hoping for better luck this evening, losing 2-0 in the final game of last
season.

ONES TO WATCH

Nahki Wells

Nahki Wells is currently Bristol City’s top goal scorer, scoring five more than their next highest. Wells is currently on 11 goals for the season with four assists also to his name in his 33 appearances. The striker last scored in a 1-0 win at home to Hull City on February 25. The 32-year-old has been prolific throughout his career, scoring 156 times in 491 appearances, 49 of which came for the Terriers. A member of our 2016/17 promotion side, Wells has played at all levels of the game including League One and Two, the Sky Bet Championship and Premier League.

Alex Scott

19-year-old Alex Scott has been a big part of Nigel Pearson’s side this year, making 33 appearances and assisting five times. The Englishman joined the Robins in July 2021 and has been impressing since, making 82 appearances for the club, notching 12 goal contributions. Scott plays most of his football in central midfiled and can also be pushed further forward into an attacking midfield position. With good pace and game understanding, his profile has risen significantly this season, being widely recognised as one of the best young players in the division.
