1 March 2023

Goalkeeper one of several Young Terriers gaining experience

- Josh Mazfari extends his loan at Tadcaster Albion
- Charles Ondo makes his League of Ireland debut
- Fellow stopper Michael Acquah keeps clean sheet for Sheffield

Huddersfield Town Academy goalkeeper Josh Mazfari has extended his loan at Tadcaster Albion until 30 April 2023, on the back of a successful start with the Brewers!

The 18-year-old custodian has been in goal for both of Tadcaster’s league wins since moving there in the New Year, and has made a total of seven starts for his loan club so far.

He has now extended his loan spell until the conclusion of The Pitching In Northern Premier League campaign.

Josh is one of several Young Terriers who are currently playing outside England’s top four divisions in order to gain senior experience.

Striker Charles Ondo, who made his senior bow for the Terriers earlier this season, made his League of Ireland and Waterford debut last week, coming on as a second-half substitute in their 1-1 draw against Longford Town.

Midfielder Ernaldo Krasniqi has started four games for his loan club, Chelmsford City, who are managed by former Town forward Robbie Simpson.

Another goalkeeper, Michael Acquah, made his debut for Sheffield FC last weekend, keeping a clean sheet in their 3-0 win at Ossett United.

Fellow custodian Sam Taylor has made 21 starts for Northallerton Town so far.
