During the international break, we caught up with Jon Worthington’s B Team and got a front row seat to their training session at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex.
Taking Town fans over the canal and onto our top pitches, supporters are given an insight into the work done behind-the-scenes with our Young Terriers under Jon Worthington and George Danaher.
The youngsters started with warm-ups lead by Lead Physical Performance Coach Luke Dopson, while Goalkeeper Coach Neil Bennett took the ‘keepers out for their warm-up.
Bennett worked with Michael Acquah, Josh Mazfari, Sam Taylor and Francis Hurl on set pieces and making saves whilst being marked by the opposition.
Our outfielders worked with B Team Manager Jon Worthington and Under-19 Coach George Danaher on their techniques when receiving the ball and how they can use that to then push forwards, keeping possession, attacking in central areas and then defending the back line.
The training session ended with end-to-end game, working on getting the ball forwards and their final shot.
