Having conceded in the first half to Gabriel Sara, the Terriers fought back to equalise in the second half thanks to an own goal and finished the game on top after a red card was shown to Marquinhos of Norwich City.
A game of two halves saw Norwich City the better side in the first half and our Terriers dominate the second, with a goal to show for both teams as each team had to settle for a point.
The Canaries opened the scoring on the half hour mark as Gabriel Sara received the ball inside the box from Adam Idah and was able to knock it past our ‘keeper on the volley from close range.
An encouraging second half performance from Town saw many close attempts on goal, with the breakthrough coming when a defensive error from Norwich City meant that Josh Koroma could send a long ball to an unmarked Martyn Waghorn just outside the box for him to chip the ‘keeper and hit the post – which then deflected off of defender Grant Hanley and into the back of the net for our equaliser.
Just when we thought the action had finished, Marquinhos was shown a red card after a dangerous challenge in the air on Josh Ruffels inside injury time and Norwich were down to 10 men.
