An entertaining game despite the goalless scoreline, it was a much improved performance from Town who snapped a two game losing streak with a point at home to Bristol City.
Manager Neil Warnock made several changes, with returning goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík putting in a Man of the Match performance, making important interventions off his line on numerous occasions before tipping a Jonathan Hogg header back over his own crossbar in a worrying second half moment.
Despite the strong performance from the ‘keeper, Town were busy at the other end of the pitch too, but couldn’t get the ball over the line. Hitting the crossbar, having the ball cleared off the line and forcing Max O’Leary into a few telling interventions.
An encouraging display, it gives Town something to build on going into another testing week with a trip to West Bromwich Albion awaiting at the weekend.
