Advance Welding is the January recipient of the Shooting Star Award, presented on behalf of Huddersfield Town and Club Partner, Lucas Lee.
The long-standing award recognises the great work of businesses around Yorkshire and is awarded to the winners on behalf of Huddersfield Town and Club Partner, Lucas Lee.
January’s award has been presented to Advance Welding, who were recently presented with a Business Recycling Hero Award by Mayor of Kirklees, Councillor Masood Ahmed.
The company received the award for taking steps to ensure all recyclable products are either reduced, reused, or recycled.
Kevin Wilkinson, Managing Director of Advance Welding, said:

“Sustainability is one of the core values of Advance Welding and it runs through everything that we do as a business, from the design of the products, the manufacturing process and their carbon impact when they are used by the customer.
“It is very important to manufacture them in a responsible and sustainable way so we try and source as many parts as we can from the local Huddersfield area, and we try and minimise our waste output by reducing, reusing or recycling where we can.
"This is in keeping with the HTSA Sustainable Stadium Campaign, so it is great that we have been recognised for playing our part in a sustainable future.”
