A closer look at how Huddersfield Town’s fixtures fall across 2023/24

- Season begins Saturday 5 August 2023 away at Plymouth Argyle
With another busy Sky Bet Championship season awaiting us, here are some key dates to keep in mind across the campaign!
FIRST FOUR FIXTURES
Starting with an away fixture at newly promoted Plymouth Argyle on Saturday 5 August 2023, The Terriers will then welcome Leicester City to the John Smith’s Stadium, for our first Sky Bet Championship home game of the campaign, on Saturday 12 August.
However, between these two fixtures, Town’s first involvement in the Carabao Cup is scheduled for Wednesday 10 August, with the draw being made later today at 2.30pm.
These will be followed by a trip to the Riverside Stadium for the Terriers as they face Middlesbrough on Saturday 19 August before returning home against Norwich City on Saturday 26 August to complete the first month of the season.
CHRISTMAS FIXTURES
Norwich City away starts our festive fixtures on Saturday 23 December, followed by two home fixtures on Boxing Day and Friday 29 December.
Boxing Day will see Town welcome Blackburn Rovers followed by a visit from Middlesbrough on Friday 29 December.
New Year’s Day will see the Terriers make the trip to the King Power Stadium as we take on Leicester City.
EASTER FIXTURES
Easter weekend will be another busy period, with a Good Friday fixture on Friday 29 March 2024 at home to Coventry City before facing Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium on Easter Monday, 1 April 2024.
DERBY FIXTURES
Starting with Rotherham United at home on Saturday 16 September, Town have plenty of Yorkshire derbies to prepare for this Sky Bet Championship campaign.
This will be followed by a trip to Hillsborough to face newly promoted side Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 7 October, which takes place not long before our trip to Elland Road to face West Yorkshire rivals Leeds United on Saturday 28 October – who we play for the first time since 2020.
Reverse fixtures for these Yorkshire derbies start with the Owls at home on Saturday 3 February, Leeds United at home on Saturday 2 March, and Rotherham United away on Saturday 16 March.
LAST FIXTURE OF 2023/24 CAMPAIGN
Town will complete the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship regular season away at newly promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday 4 May 2024.
