Fixture Launch Breakfast at John Smith’s Stadium

It was an early start on Thursday morning as our hospitality team hosted our Fixture Breakfast meeting in the White Rose Club at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Whilst the attendees enjoyed a Yorkshire breakfast, the White Rose Club’s Match Day host Paul Ramsden was joined on stage by Head of Retail Luke Cowan, who spoke about the new shirts for the 2023/24 season, Siobhan Atkinson who discussed the work that the Foundation do across the close season, and Commercial Director Ian Birtley who chatted about the excitement around the new season.
The event concluded with the big reveal of the games that the Terriers will play in the Sky Bet Championship, with Plymouth Argyle away and Leicester City at home starting the season.
Commercial Director, Ian Birtley, commented:
“Fixture Release Day is one of the biggest in our calendar; the excitement around the fixtures coming out is great and it’s nice to be in the room with a lot of our hospitality sponsors and seasonal members. It gave us the chance to catch up with some faces we have not seen for a few weeks.
“Hospitality is a big part of Town and a significant revenue stream for the Club, and we work hard throughout the year to create a fantastic match day experience. A big part of that has been our relationship with our Stadium catering and we’ve worked very hard with Ian Simpson and his team to increase that match day level of service that we are giving.
“My message to those who have not tried hospitality before is simply to come and give us a try. We create packages for everyone - from a business to a birthday that people come back for season after season, the retention rate backs this up.”
Senior Commercial Manager, Tracy Nelson, added:
“It is always exciting when the fixtures are released and we have people calling and emailing to book in their Match Sponsorships, birthdays, the Boxing Day game, and everything else in between!
“Fans can book hospitality for any game for the upcoming season right now, so I’d encourage our fans to get in touch and to get their places booked for the games as soon as they can; we don’t want anyone to miss out as many of the games do sell out!”
