Friendly fixtures arranged for both our Huddersfield Town B Team and U19 sides

As the entire Club prepares for the 2023/24 season, we are pleased to share the first details of our Academy pre-season, with plenty of friendlies arranged for both our B Team and U19s!
A successful campaign for our B Team, lead by Jon Worthington, the side saw many players either enjoy fruitful experience out on loan or make the step up to First Team level to contribute in the Sky Bet Championship.
Having competed in the Premier League Cup and a regular stream of Central League and friendly fixtures, the 2023/24 campaign promises to be another test for the Terriers across all of those fronts once again.
With that in mind, the B Team have a packed schedule planned for pre-season, with eight friendlies arranged within a six-week period between the opening week of July to the start of August – we are scheduled to play:
Saturday 8 July – Harrogate Town (H) Noon, Behind-Closed-Doors
Friday 14 July – Bradford (Park Avenue) (A) 7.30pm
Tuesday 18 July – Burnley (A) TBC
Saturday 22 July – Farsley Celtic (A) 3pm
Tuesday 25 July - Hyde United (A) 7.45pm
Saturday 29 July – SC Heerenveen (H) Noon
Wednesday 2 August – Manchester City (A) 1pm
Monday 7 August – Sunderland (A) 6.30pm
Likewise, our U19 group coached by George Danaher will have their own schedule of friendly fixtures as they ramp up their own preparations. With a turnover of players and plenty of new faces within the current cohort, these initial fixtures give both the coaching staff and squad chance to get on the same page and learn more about each other ahead of the season proper.
With three fixtures planned at present, our U19s will be facing:
Tuesday 18 July – Burnley (A) TBC
Saturday 22 July – Shrewsbury Town (H) Noon
Tuesday 25 July – Golcar (A) 7.30pm
Still an initial schedule for both sides, this is liable to change with fixtures both able to be added and details to change where necessary.
