MORE MINUTES FOR PLAYERS IN BCD GAME VS DERBY COUNTY

25 July 2023

Neil Warnock’s Terriers take another step forward

- Huddersfield Town hosted Derby County behind-closed-doors
- Great workout for players against League One side
- 22 of Neil Warnock’s players get more minutes under their belts

22 First Team players got more important minutes under their belts ahead of the 2023/24 campaign in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Sky Bet League One side Derby County on Tuesday afternoon.

Neil Warnock’s players wore the new third kit, released this morning, for the first time in the game at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex, with the majority playing 45 minutes.

Among the 22 Town players on show, Ben Jackson returned from the small issue that kept him out of Saturday’s 4-0 win at Stockport County

The game was played at a good intensity by both sides and was a positive step forward ahead of the new Sky Bet Championship campaign, which gets under way with the visit to Plymouth Argyle on Saturday 5 August.

Manager Neil Warnock commented:

“Today went ideally in that we got the players more minutes under their belts and we came away after the final whistle without any injuries.

“Just one more game to go now before we kick off the season!”

Town’s final pre-season friendly takes place at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, when Dutch top-flight side Heerenveen visit for a 3pm kick-off. Get your tickets online now – click HERE!
