Having completed another busy day on tour in Devon and Cornwall where the side trained and played against AFC Tavistock, stand-in Town captain Michał Helik spoke to HTTV.
With a 9-0 win against Bodmin Town behind them on Monday evening after their first training session, the side have since trained twice more – including the morning before this second fixture – getting plenty of work in their legs ahead of our second pre-season friendly of the tour.
Several leagues higher than Bodmin Town, it was a much different opposition for the Terriers with the defensive shape and committed nature of Tavistock’s play a testament to their staff and players.
Despite making several chances they should’ve done better with, Town ended the game 0-0 with the home side, getting more valuable minutes into the squad in a much more intense and fast paced encounter.
Discussing the game, the tour as a whole, his change of squad number and being handed the captain’s armband in Jonathan Hogg’s absence, you can watch the full interview with Michał Helik below.
