Young Terriers perform admirably against senior side

- Huddersfield Town B Team plays Harrogate Town senior side
- Single goal defeat for the Young Terriers
- Valuable experience and minutes in the legs

A young Huddersfield Town B side performed admirably against Harrogate Town’s First Team in their opening pre-season friendly on Saturday morning.

Simon Weaver’s Sky Bet League 2 side won the behind-closed-doors game by a single set piece goal, scored by experienced centre back Anthony O’Connor as the game entered the final quarter of an hour at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex.

However, the game was still a great experience for Jon Worthington’s Young Terriers. With several of the more senior B Team players currently on First Team duty in Cornwall and Devon under Neil Warnock, it gave the likes of Conor Falls, Cian Philpott, Michael Stone, Neo Eccleston, and others the chance to impress.

Worthy’s B Team is back in friendly action on Friday evening, when they make the short journey to take on Northern Premier League side Bradford (Park Avenue) at their Horsfall Community Stadium. That game will be open to fans and will start at 7.30pm.
