Full team news ahead of Neil Warnock's return as Huddersfield Town Manager
- Huddersfield Town side named to face Birmingham City
- Manager Neil Warnock makes his first selection since return
- Danny Ward and Michał Helik return from injury
Huddersfield Town Manager Neil Warnock has made seven changes to the team for today’s Sky Bet Championship game against Birmingham City; 3pm kick-off at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Warnock’s first selection has been boosted by the return of Danny Ward and Michał Helik from their recent injury absences, with both players starting this afternoon. They replace the suspended Will Boyle and Martyn Waghorn, who is on the bench.
Unfortunately, Matty Pearson is ruled out with the foot issue that forced him off at Stoke City in midweek, so Matthew Lowton makes his first start in three games in defence.
There are home debuts for Nicholas Bilokapic and Jaheim Headley today. The Australian goalkeeper starts in place of Tomáš Vaclík, who is not in the squad due to injury; Jordan Smith is the custodian among the substitutes.
David Kasumu, Etienne Camara, and Joseph Hungbo also come into the side in place of Scott High, Josh Koroma, and Anthony Knockaert.
Jordan Smith makes his first appearance on a Town 18 as a substitute, whilst there are also recalls for Tyreece Simpson and Brahima Diarra.
Warnock is also without Lee Nicholls (shoulder), Ollie Turton (knee), Will Boyle (suspended), Kieran Phillips (hamstring), Duane Holmes (calf) and Yuta Nakayama (Achilles).
