Hosting another fantastic meeting, last night the Club’s growing Women’s+ Network welcomed Dr Bryony Waller as their special guest to discuss all things menopause and hormone replacement therapy.
A qualified general practitioner, Dr Bryony Waller is a Training Programme Director within the Pennine area of the NHS, visiting the Club’s expanding Women’s+ Network to share her expertise on menopause and HRT – which falls in line with our status as a Menopause Friendly Employer.
Described as an informative, honest and myth-busting evening, the session was insightful on the different stages of menopause, the risks and benefits of HRT, using data from research to put a lot of misconceptions into perspective.
As a Menopause Friendly Employer, women’s health is an important subject to us, especially when we can address issues that may otherwise be considered taboo in a safe space. A collaborative evening, it was beneficial to be within a supportive environment within the group to shared lived experiences from people at different stages of their menopause journey, helping to normalise these discussions – not just for women, but to see men also champion women’s health needs.
