The Terriers will continue their Sky Bet Championship campaign on Saturday 18 February at the John Smith’s Stadium where they will take on Birmingham City; 3pm kick-off.

Our first away game of the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship season, a Danny Ward goal in the second half wasn't enough as the Terriers lost out 2-1 at St. Andrew's.

THE OPPOSITION

Birmingham City currently sit 18th in the Sky Bet Championship table.

The Midlands team are well established in the EFL having played throughout the divisions in their 147 years of history.

After the Blues finished one place above the relegation zone last season, John Eustace was appointed manager in July 2022 following the end of Lee Bowyer’s 16-month reign at St Andrews.

ONES TO WATCH

Scott Hogan

The forward is currently the top goal scorer for Birmingham City, scoring 10 goals and making two assists in the 24 appearances he has made this season. Hogan joined the Blues in September 2020 from Aston Villa following his loan spells at Sheffield United and Stoke City. Hogan also earned an international call-up for the Republic of Ireland national team in November. The forward has not only taken over 34 shots at goal but has done some noticeable defending for the Blues, earning 42 recoveries, six interceptions and over eight clearances.

George Hall

The midfielder signed his first professional deal with the Blues in November 2021. Having joined the club at the age of seven, he was quickly rising through the ranks and impressing at every level as he received international recognition with England at youth level. Hall made his first senior matchday squad debut against Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship. In the 18 games he has played, Hall has scored one goal, created one assist and made over 90 passes. The 18-year-old has won almost half of the duels he has entered. The young talent has been said to be “one of the top young players in the league” by John Eustace.

Maxime Colin

Colin arrived at Blues from Brentford in 2017 on an initial four-year-deal. The full back signed for the West London team in 2015, making 66 appearances and scoring four goals. So far this season, the former France Under-20 international has scored one goal and made two assists in the 28 appearances he has made. Colin has become a vital cog in Birmingham City’s backline, making over 77 clearances, 126 duels and over 36 interceptions.
