Speaking to HTTV at full-time, the central defender admitted that the side didn’t do enough to take anything from the fixture.

Summing up the fixture, Pearson said the side need to perform for the whole match, which they didn’t do enough of after the break at the DW Stadium.

“There wasn’t much in the game, but the second half again wasn’t up to standard.

“We just didn’t seem to click second half, we had a couple of chances but it wasn’t enough, it wasn’t nearly enough and we know that ourselves that we need to do more.

“A set piece decided the game, and that’s what happens in these type of bottom of the table clashes.

“We need to carry on the whole game, to start the first half well is fair enough but the game is a full 90 minutes, it’s not just one half.

“I’m just disappointed, especially with the second half, we should’ve played more and got forward better but these games pressure will play its part and it’s a pressurised game, situations will change and that’s how it is.”

Opening up about his own feeling, the central defender reiterated that he was giving his all alongside his teammates, and that we need to stick together and believe in order to star climbing the table.

“I honestly, me personally, I know I can’t give anymore.

“I’m trying all I can, the same as all the lads, it’s just that we need to put a method behind our hard work.

“I’m sure we’ll get there, we just need to stick together.

“If we turn on each other now it’s only going to get worse, you’ve got to keep believing.”
