In his final game in interim charge before the arrival of Manager Neil Warnock, Narcis Pelach spoke to HTTV following Town’s loss at the Bet365 Stadium.

Brutally honest discussing the performance, Pelach admitted that his side didn’t compete nearly well enough.

“We were out of the game in the first half, other than the first five minutes which obviously isn’t enough we didn’t compete well at all.

“We were late always in every action – duels, second balls, we were miles off and it was clear to see.

“In the half time we talked about that and we got a little bit of a reaction from a competitive point of view, but not from the football point of view.

“With the red card, we were out of the game and the game was dead for us.

“We have to try to improve this very quick, because this is the Sky Bet Championship and this is what the league demands.”

Turning his mind to the future, Pelach admitted that Warnock’s arrival gives the Club a chance to start fresh before the final stretch of the season.

“Tomorrow with Neil in the building everything is going to be new, everything is going to be fresh and we need to forget about what has happened.

“Obviously we need to know that we didn’t compete well today because that will help us compete better on Saturday, but now with Neil tomorrow in the building we expect a fresh start and we can forget about what has happened because it’s not going to help us.”
