We can confirm that Huddersfield Town B Team midfielder Ernaldo Krasniqi has joined National League South side Chelmsford City on loan for an initial month.

Having first joined Town in the summer of 2019 from London-based Crown Pro Elite Academy, this is Ernaldo’s second loan move away having spent the first half of the 2021/22 season with Scottish League One side Falkirk.

Able to play in both central defence and midfield, it is as a number six in the holding role that Krasniqi is most often utilised. Gifted with natural size standing well over six feet tall, he has been capped at youth level by Albania on multiple occasions, turning out for both the U17 and U19 sides.

Turning 20 years old at the end of the month, this will be another valuable experience of senior first team football for Ernaldo who will be hoping to help Chelmsford push even higher up the table from their current 6th place.

Loan Manager David Fox commented:

“It’s been a little bit of time since Ernaldo spent some time out on loan, so following a promising start to the 2022/23 season in the B Team for him playing regularly, now is the time to go out and test himself in another environment again.

“Given his size and understanding of the game, he has the ability and physicality to impose himself on a match at any level, which he showed last season up in Scotland when allowed the chance. We’ll be keeping a close eye on his progression, and hope this is a valuable experience for him as he continues to develop.

“Football in the National League South is of a competitive, demanding standard, especially with Chelmsford looking to get points on the board and climb toward the top. We’re excited to see how Ernaldo takes on this challenge and adapts in a demanding part of the season.”

Good luck, Ernaldo!
