HUDDERSFIELD TOWN’S WOMEN’S+ NETWORK MEETING

1 February 2023

Women’s+ Network upcoming meeting announced

- Huddersfield Town’s Women’s+ Network meeting on Tuesday 21 February
- Emphasis on female inclusion and experience
- Meeting open to everyone

Huddersfield Town’s Women’s+ Network hold their next meeting in February, with guest speaker Dr Bryony Waller.

The Women’s+ Network is comprised of a diverse group of people whose original aim was to undertake research to gain insights into female experiences with Huddersfield Town Football Club. Since its launch in March 2022, the network’s focus and purpose has evolved, and there are ongoing discussions about how to identify and implement priority actions to increase female representation, inclusion, and engagement.

Our next HTAFC Women’s+ Network meeting is taking place on Tuesday 21 February 2023 at the Legends Bar and Café, next to the John Smith’s Stadium, and will start at 6pm.

To reflect that health and wellbeing are a priority for the Club and the Women’s+ Network, we are delighted to confirm that Dr Bryony Waller will be delivering a presentation on menopause and will be available to answer any questions. We hope this event will be of interest and value to a wide group of people, irrespective of gender or any other characteristic.

The meeting is open to all and is not exclusive to Huddersfield Town supporters. We welcome anyone who would benefit from advice on menopause, and anyone who wants to be involved in a friendly, supportive, and diverse network.

Our HR Manager and Equality Leader, Zoe Shackleton, commented:

“Our HTAFC Women’s+ Network is proving to be a valuable addition to the groups and networks that we facilitate.

“It is important to emphasise that our Women’s+ Network is not just for women – it is for anyone, including allies and advocates for female inclusion and all other forms of inclusion.

“We are grateful to Dr Bryony Waller for giving up her time to support our event and we hope to see many people there.”
