Highlights as Town beat Birmingham City at home as Neil Warnock returns as Manager

Neil Warnock enjoyed a dream return to the home dugout of the John Smith’s Stadium as his Huddersfield Town side ran out 2-1 winners over Birmingham City.
Despite starting the brighter, Town fell behind in under 10 minutes as Troy Deeney ghosted in at the back post to poke home a Juninho Bacuna cross, instantly giving the Terriers a hill to climb.
Undeterred, the home side got right back to work and continued to push forward, with one set play ending with an Etienne Camara effort rebounding off the upright.
Playing forward with purpose, the Terriers eventually drew level on the break. Started by Nicholas Bilokapic, the young Australian goalkeeper set Jaheim Headley on his way who beat a few men for pace before releasing Joe Hungbo wide on the right.
Cutting in onto his left boot, Hungbo struck an exceptional effort straight into the top corner past John Ruddy in the Birmingham goal.
The second half almost began exactly the same as the first, but this time Troy Deeney saw his headed effort bounce back into play off the base of the post, almost giving Birmingham the lead back in their first attack following the break.
Taking the ball back up the field following the near miss, Nicholas Bilokapic fired up the pitch into the space behind the Birmingham backline for Jaheim Headley to race onto. Taking an excellent touch in stride, the left back struck across Ruddy and saw his effort ping into the back of the net off the post in the most satisfying manner.
Completing the turnaround, Town and Birmingham exchanged momentum for the remainder of the game, with the Terriers doing enough to see the game out and get three hugely important points on the board.
With an excellent atmosphere on the day, it was the perfect start for returning Manager Neil Warnock and Assistant Manager Ronnie Jepson, giving the Club, players and fans a much needed boost ahead of the final stretch of the season.
