Head Coach Mark Fotheringham was pleased with the performance of his side after they came from behind at home to earn a point against Queens Park Rangers.

Having ended the match on top with the stadium and supporters behind them, the Head Coach spoke passionately about how important that was when asked about the result at full-time.

“It was important, we’ve seen the business we’ve done in the transfer window and they were all on the pitch today, which they weren’t at the weekend.

“There was numerous home debuts and a lot of positivity there, and all I can is that I thank the fans from the bottom of my heart because the way they get behind the team, especially in the latter part of the game was incredible.

“The stadium was absolutely bouncing, and it’s all credit to the players because they pushed and pushed right to the very end.”

Looking at the position of the team as a whole, Fotheringham was positive about the outlook going into and extremely important week with two away matches against Blackpool and Wigan Athletic, who sit in similar positions in the Sky Bet Championship.

“It’s about stabilising the situation and giving ourselves the chance to get out of it, and that’s what we’re doing at the moment.

“We’ve got a great chance to get out of this bottom three, you can see the work ethic from the players is incredible and they’re really demanding from each other.

“These new players have been a real help and given us a lift, they played with real speed and energy and it was dangerous there at the end for QPR.”
