Huddersfield Town First Team players visit local hospitals to deliver some early festive cheer and Christmas gifts!

On Tuesday 19 December, our First Team squad visited local hospitals to deliver festive gifts and spend time with both patients and staff ahead of Christmas!
Visiting the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Calderdale Royal Hospital, and the Rainbow Community Hub, our First Team players spent time with both patients and staff, whilst handing out Christmas presents.
Our squad delivered bags full of presents from the Club Shop, whilst also signing autographs, taking photos, and helping to lift spirits of everyone on the wards.
Danny Ward also paid a special visit to Waves – a centre that provides high-quality care for adults with Learning Difficulties. Our number 25 spent time with both adults and young people during their Day Care activities to help spread some festive cheer.
Huddersfield Town Club Ambassador, Andy Booth, commented:
“It’s a difficult time for a lot of families, so it’s great that we can bring some presents and a little bit of joy to our supporters - and other supporters - around Kirklees and the Calderdale area.
“The players have done a fantastic job - and we wish everybody a Merry Christmas from all at Huddersfield Town.”
Huddersfield Town defender, Matty Pearson, also commented:
“It’s a testing time when you’re in hospital at Christmas. So, anything we can do to put a smile on people’s faces – that’s what we’re going to try and do.
“Football is a community thing, and to have the people around Huddersfield supporting us and helping us along the way, it’s nice to connect the club to the community and keep it all going in the same direction.”
