Town made it four Sky Bet Championship games without defeat following a score draw at home against Bristol City on Saturday.
An open, exciting encounter in tough conditions, both sides played committed attacking football that led to multiple chances at either end of the pitch.
Taking advantage of the openness, Town took the lead through Delano Burgzorg on the break, with David Kasumu wonderful in the build up to create it. Bursting past two defenders who had a head start on him, the midfielder carried the ball at pace to the edge of the box before squaring, with our number 7 doing the rest with his left boot from close range.
A lead that last until the break, that wasn’t the case for long after the second half restarted.
Scoring with their first attack of the half after a loose ball form the back caught Town out of shape and outnumbered, a ball from Weimann to Conway across the box gave the forward a first time finish against Maxwell, who could do nothing to stop it.
Chances fell to both sides before the final whistle, with Town aggrieved with one particular incident that saw Burgzorg denied by the hand of a central defender in the box that went unpunished by the referee, but that moment aside neither team could do enough to take the advantage.
