Two second half goals condemn Town to defeat at Carrow Road

A goal right at the start of the second half for Norwich City was the difference between the two sides at Carrow Road, with Town unable to find a leveller.
Heading into the break level, both sides had given as good as they got in the opening half, with Town looking a threat on the break. The home side did look likely to take the lead in one moment thanks to a header from close range by Ashley Barnes, but an eye-catching save from Chris Maxwell to his left denied him.
Forced into a change during half-time with Giannoulis replaced by McCallum after a clash with Jack Rudoni in the air moments before the whistle for the break arrived, it was then McCallum who headed home past Maxwell to give the home side the lead.
Making the right decision in the final third was an issue for Town who had opportunities to break Norwich down after they committed men forward at pace, but the wrong final pass, blocked shot or defensive intervention broke several moves down before the goalkeeper could be troubled.
The result was confirmed midway through the second half when Norwich doubled the lead, with Sainz cutting in from the left onto his right foot to finish across Chris Maxwell into the bottom corner.
