Voted as Player of the Match by Town supporters after the match, goalkeeper Lee Nicholls joined HTTV at full-time to reflect on not only a good individual performance, but a promising team display.
Despite picking Jonathan Hogg as Player of the Match himself, a number of vitally important interventions from Lee Nicholls played a huge part in Town earning their first point of the season, with supporters giving the award to our number one.
Unable to do anything about Middlesbrough’s equaliser, the goalkeeper was quick off his line on a number of occasions to deny the home side and made a few telling stops from range too in an eye catching performance.
Speaking to HTTV at full-time about his performance, how the team played as a whole and the mood within the squad a handful of games into the season, it’s clear that our number one was pleased to get our first point of the season on the board.
