Holding his latest press conference at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex, the Manager answered questions from the media ahead of our Sky Bet Championship fixture with Middlesbrough.

Answering questions regarding his team selection, the fitness of his players, the upcoming opposition, how Town managed against Leicester City and how he feels about the season so far, Warnock said:

“I had a fabulous time at Middlesbrough, but it feels like I’m visiting one of my old sides every other week!

“But had I not left I wouldn’t have been able to come back to Huddersfield, and I’m having a wonderful time here now.

"It’s a fabulous job that Michael Carrick is doing, he’s got a tune out of some players that those before him, including me, didn’t.

“He deserves real credit for that. Michael and Jonathan are doing a fabulous job.

"It’s going to be difficult again, we’ve played twice and lost twice, but they’re two games we could’ve won.

“The performance against Leicester is one of the best I’ve seen from one of my sides, especially off the ball - against such a good side, too.

When you got away to one of the top sides, if you don’t play to your potential and they do, there’s only going to be one result.

“We’re going to have to be at the top of our game to get something again up there.

"Ollie as you know he won’t be back until Christmastime at the earliest, but likely later than that.

“Tom Lees and David Kasumu are both on their way back. Tom is doing well on the grass but we won’t be rushing them.

“I enjoyed that Leicester game, I think the players and fans enjoyed it too. This is what we have to do: have a go.

“I want us to try and play some good stuff. If we get beat then we get beat, but we’ve got to keep on that front foot and go for games.

“I don’t think the League Cup game showed much, but I was pleased by a few lads who played in that game - especially going down to 10 men so early.

“Young Diarra, who would have thought? He reminds me of Victor Moses that I had at Palace, and I’m enjoying watching him.

"Josh Koroma too, I don’t think he’s ever won so many tackles as he did against Leicester - I’ve cut out a piece from the local paper about it and given it to him!

“He’s a likeable rogue, I’ve said that all along. He might’ve surprised himself.”
