Town winger Aaron Rowe has today joined Sky Bet League Two side Crewe Alexandra on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
First joining the Club as a 17-year-old, Rowe made his Town debut in the Premier League before registering one goal and one assist across the 2020/21 campaign in the Sky Bet Championship, making 20 appearances.
Aaron has since made just two further First Team appearances – one each in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 campaigns – spending the final part of last season out on loan with Stockport County.
With six points from their opening five fixtures having won once, lost once and drawn three times to open the campaign, Crewe are currently 14th place in Sky Bet League Two.
Loan Manager David Fox commented:
“We’ve all seen how much natural ability Aaron possesses, and he’s made an impact at First Team level for the Club in the past.
“That said, however, he needs to play regularly and recapture his form, fitness and what makes him such a compelling player on his day.
“There is no doubt that Aaron can be a fantastic asset, but he needs to show that with some consistency, and joining Crewe will hopefully give him the platform to do just that.”
Good luck on loan, Aaron!
