Young people aged between 14-17 invited to share thoughts with Huddersfield Town and Foundation

- Club and Foundation hold first ever Youth Voice Focus Group
- Thoughts on Club and match day experience
- Comments from Head of Marketing Jonathan Wilkinson

Building on work completed as part of our Family Excellence Award win, the Club and Foundation worked together to hold our first Youth Voice Focus Group.

Speaking with young people aged between 14-17 who are both supporters of the Club and otherwise, the session was designed to provide a better picture of how young people think of Huddersfield Town, interact with the Club and what either appeals to them about us or doesn’t.

A joint initiative between the Club and Foundation, it was a productive session that allowed young people a valued voice and allowed those conducting the group a better insight into areas that are performing well and those that may need further attention.

Discussing the event, Huddersfield Town Head of Marketing Jonathan Wilkinson said:

“We have always attempted to ensure that our Club and marketing are as open and inclusive as possible, and that of course included younger people. While many of us take for granted growing up as being a football fan or being given a family club to support, that may not be the case for everyone.

“Using the feedback from our Family Excellence Award win, we have actively engaged with a chosen demographic to see how we can serve them better as a Club and have more young people excited about Huddersfield Town, both on and away from our match days.

“Thank you to all those that took part, and we look forward to using their input and feedback to improve and evolve as we go forward.”
