Reflecting on a brilliant home win over Middlesbrough and looking forward to another tough Sky Bet Championship fixture with Watford at Vicarage Road, there was plenty for Manager Neil Warnock to discuss with the press this afternoon.

First asked for his reaction to the Middlesbrough win, our Manager then opened up about his thoughts on a busy Easter schedule, with games on both Good Friday and Easter Monday against sides looking to secure a top six finish. He said:

"Fabulous win really.

“I think they're one of the best teams in the league and to go a goal behind like we did, I don't think we deserved it but that's how it goes. But all credit to the lads coming back like they did.

“They didn't let their heads drop, they were quite loud in the dressing room, and it's nice to get the rewards for being positive in how they played.

"That's what winning does for you, it lifts everyone.

They knew they'd played two good sides and were quite disappointed not to have finished Norwich off.

“But they also know we could lose the next two and be six points adrift on Monday night, so we're not kidding ourselves.

“It's two tough games against Watford and Blackburn.

"You enjoy the victories then move on.

“It's so quick the next few weeks and we've got four of the next five away from home.

“We've got to try and hang in there now points wise with the other clubs.

“Two games in four days is difficult with the travelling as well but we've just got to do it.”

Going to discuss any team news, Warnock had updates on both Duane Holmes and Martyn Waghorn ahead of the trip to Watford.

“Duane Holmes is out for the season now unfortunately.

“He's seeing a specialist today. He blocked a shot and he has ligament damage, ankle damage and I think he's got a little chip as well.

“It's a shame as he's worked so hard to get fit again since I've been here, but that's football I'm afraid. He'll have to do another rehabilitation and get himself back.

"It's just a bit too soon for Martyn Waghorn.

“We thought he might be ready for Boro but he just felt something as he was finishing training so it's not one to rush him.

“We want to make sure he's right for the last four or five games.
