Lee Nicholls returned between the sticks this afternoon whilst Joe Hungbo opened the scoring, and they both shared their joy with HTTV at full time at the Cardiff City Stadium!
After watching from the side lines for most of this season, Lee Nicholls returned in goal this afternoon in a game that saw Joe Hungbo score his first away goal in Town colours.
Joe Hungbo commented:
“It felt good to score today, especially for the team, we’re just happy to get the three points. I’m always happy to contribute and work hard for the team.
“It was all for the fans; they travelled such a long way, and we owe them the performance with what is at stake. Got to enjoy it for the fans, we’ve just got to take this win – we haven’t finished yet.”
Lee Nicholls added on his return:
“I’m back today with a lot of hard work from a lot of people at the Club, there’s too many to thank. I hope I made a difference today, but the job’s not done yet, we’ve got a game Thursday to get at least a point – if not we have a cup final next week.”
“I just want the lads to win, and I want the Club to stay up, at the end of the day it’s my job to do the best I can for the Club – never mind if I’m playing or not.”
