Having enjoyed the better of the chances in the first half at the Swansea.com Stadium, an unfortunate deflection for Swansea altered a game that otherwise looked destined to finish goalless.
Town looked bright on the break throughout the game, but made a few ventures forward in the first half especially that could’ve turned the game in their favour – as well as a Michał Helik header wide from a set play, returning left back Jaheim Headley hit a wonderful left footed volley following brilliant work from Danny Ward in the box, but the effort was struck too true and rocketed marginally over the bar.
After the break the home side stepped up their possession but did little to trouble the Town goal, with the Town defence performing admirably and keeping the Swans many advances at bay.
Working a quick passing move on the edge of the box, a strike from Ryan Manning was flying harmlessly wide until it took a deflection off captain Jonathan Hogg who was looking to make a block, helping the ball change course into the top corner to put Town behind.
Unable to get back on terms despite a number of attacking changes, the Terriers now have to pick themselves up to go again ahead of another tough test on the road at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland on Tuesday 18 April.
