Joseph Johnson previewed Saturday’s game:

Johnson started by discussing how he has found the season so far.

“The season has been very good so far performing with the Under-19s.

“Obviously I was injured at the start, but I have come back stronger, and I am playing well, we’ve had a couple of wins so far and I’m looking forward to getting more.”

The 17-year-old then spoke about his experience playing with the B Team against Wrexham during the week.

“I was delighted to start and be involved in that game, even though I was playing out of position.

“I thought my individual performance was good – we were solid at the back and supportive going forward, I had a couple of chances as well.

“I was happy to get 60 minutes in for my B Team debut and then to carry on training with the B Team this week has been great.”

Joseph then looked forward to the game against Rotherham United and the goals he has set for himself this season.

“Tomorrow is going to be a very difficult game – I remember last season we had two defeats and the game at home we played really well but conceded some silly goals and obviously this year we want to change that and get the win.

“We know they are going to be dangerous in the air, so we are going to be on our game to try and prevent that from happening.

“I’m looking forward to the Youth Cup, I was involved last season but I want us to get further this season and my personal target are to try and push myself more in the B Team.”
