Narcís Pèlach said that the Cardiff City game will be “20,000 people against 11” when he spoke to the press on Friday morning.

Speaking to the media in his first press conference, Narcís started by discussing his role for the Cardiff City fixture alongside his reasons for staying at Town in the summer of 2022.

“I love the country and the Club, so in the summer I decided to stay and have new experiences.

“I have been asked to lead this game alongside Paul Harsley, and that’s my responsibility as Assistant Coach.

“I want to be here and I’m very happy to be here.”

Pèlach spoke about the players’ mentality, the importance of how they present themselves on the pitch and looking for the positives.

“I understand the player frustration because they’re not getting the results they want, but we have to look at our body language and be careful of the things we do – we have to be different tomorrow.

“I have known these players for a long time now and they are fighters, very good players, and very good people.

“It’s easy to think about the negatives when you’re not winning but we have to look at the positives because there are a lot of those too.

“We are not far away from where we want to be, but we’re not winning so we have to change something and change something fast and that starts tomorrow.”

Narcís then looked forward to tomorrow afternoon’s game against Cardiff City before the international break.

“Cardiff have been playing really well and maybe not getting all the results, but they got a really good win during the week.

“How I see the game tomorrow is 20,000 people against 11, so it’s hard for the away side because they are coming here tomorrow to play all of us.

“We have to go to the pitch and look after every detail, and that’s down to us – that’s what we can control.”
