Josh Koroma has today joined Portsmouth in Sky Bet League One on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.

Having joined the Club from Leyton Orient in 2019, Koroma went on to establish himself in the Town First Team across the 2020/21 season where he scored eight league goals despite a serious injury.

With significant changes to the squad since his breakout campaign, Koroma has seen his opportunities to play regularly limited.

Linking up with the South Coast club for the remainder of the 2022/23 season, Koroma will be looking to contribute to their push for promotion.

Head of Football Operations Leigh Bromby commented:

“Josh has had some really bright moments since joining the Club, but has found it hard to reach his potential whilst being in and out of the side.

“In order to kick on and take another step in his progression he needs regular minutes, and that’s something we’re not in a position to offer at present.

“Portsmouth are an ambitious side playing at a good level, and we feel like this is a great opportunity for him to recapture his form and fitness.

“We’ll be monitoring his progression closely throughout the season, and hope to see him start playing the football we all know he’s capable of again.”
