Terriers claim second win of the season, seeing off Cardiff at home

A first half finish from Jordan Rhodes was enough to see all three points claimed by Town after a strong performance against Cardiff City.
An energetic, determined Town showing, the Terriers started quickly, pressing high and looking to attack at every opportunity.
With the pressure eventually showing, the Terriers hit the lead thanks to a characteristically decisive finish from Jordan Rhodes, who turned and finished smartly on the edge of the box after great work from Tino Anjorin and Duane Holmes.
Having gone to clear the ball, Tino Anjorin was judged to have struck a Cardiff attacker with a high foot in the box with the away side awarded a penalty. Taken by Robinson, it was saved by Lee Nicholls, keeping Town ahead going into the break.
Town continued to press in the second half, which featured a rare strike from near enough the halfway line by Jordan Rhodes! Pushed on by a brilliant midfield performance from the pair of David Kasumu and Etienne Camara in his first ever Sky Bet Championship start, even a late rally from Cardiff in the dying moments wasn’t enough to take the points away from Town.
