Huddersfield Town’s B Team start their Central League campaign on Wednesday 28 September when they host Wrexham!

The Young Terriers will begin their Central League campaign against Wrexham at 1pm, with the game taking place at Millers Oils High Performance Complex (509 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, HD2 1YJ).

Part of the North-West Division of the Central League this season, Town’s B Team will face Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool, Accrington Stanley, Preston North End, Fleetwood Town, and Wrexham.

Supporters can attend the 1pm kick-off on Wednesday completely free of charge!

The lads will be in their home blue and white kit for this fixture.

Our B Team Manager, Jon Worthington, spoke about the spirit within the group and the aim for these Central League games.

“The spirits are always high; I think the lads have been really engaged in training and they’re just ready for another game.

“I think winning is important, as we’re always wanting to create that winning mentality - especially with the older players.

“These games are good because they give opportunity for minutes and for player development.

“Tomorrow will probably be a younger group then in previous games, but it just gives more opportunity to players to compete.

“I think with the B Team group, it is really important where you create a culture where you go to games to win and want to be really competitive.”

Worthington then went on to discuss what the Young Terriers are expecting from the Wrexham side in tomorrow’s game.

“I think like all the games, I expect it to be competitive and I expect them to be a decent side, but I think with all the Central League games some of the games do fluctuate depending on whether the teams are playing experienced players who are wanting minutes, or they are playing younger and more developing players.”
