Huddersfield Town Head Coach Mark Fotheringham names his first starting eleven!
- Huddersfield Town side to face Reading confirmed
- New Head Coach Mark Fotheringham makes two changes
- Jon Russell and Sorba Thomas start in Berkshire
Huddersfield Town Head Coach Mark Fotheringham has named his first starting line-up for today’s Sky Bet Championship game at Reading; 3pm kick-off at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
Mark’s first change comes in central midfield, where Jon Russell returns to make his first start in three games. He replaces 19-year-old Frenchman Etienne Camara, who is among the substitutes this afternoon.
Fotheringham’s second switch is enforced, with Chelsea loanee Tino Anjorin unavailable through illness. Sorba Thomas, fresh from earning his latest Wales cap, comes back into the side at his expense.
Fresh from scoring the winner against Cardiff City last time out, Jordan Rhodes starts again today – it’s the first time the striker has started successive games this season.
There are two further changes among the substitutes.
Club Captain Jonathan Hogg makes a welcome return after a two-game absence with a calf injury, whilst B Team defender Ben Jackson also earns a place in the match day squad.
Unfortunately, Pat Jones picked up a hamstring injury whilst on Wales Under-21 duty, so he isn’t involved today, whilst loanee Kaine Kesler-Hayden drops out of the 18.
Anjorin (illness) and Jones (hamstring) join Matty Pearson (foot), and Tyreece Simpson (knee) on the sidelines, whilst Aaron Rowe also has a small knee issue.
