A review for Walk4Pounds: The Sinnott 25
- 94 participants took part in Walk4Pounds: The Sinnott 25
- Funds going to three great local charities
- Comments from Club Ambassador Andy Booth
94 Terriers completed the 25-mile walk that made our latest Walk4Pounds, sponsored by The Skinny Food Co, before our Sky Bet Championship game against Hull City.
The event raised money for three amazing charities - Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Huddersfield Town Foundation and the Jordan Sinnott Foundation Trust.
Sponsored by The Skinny Food Co. the walk was in memory of former Town Academy graduate Jordan Sinnott, who’s untimely passing occurred in tragic circumstances in January 2020 – he was a teammate and close friend of several members of our current First Team.
Having met at the John Smith’s Stadium in the early hours of the morning on Saturday 8 October 2022 to check in and receive a welcome message and safety brief from Club Ambassador Andy Booth, the walkers then made their way to Menston where they would begin the 25-mile walk.
A journey that took them from one of Jordan’s schools, St Mary’s School Menston, before passing his junior club Guisley FC and the home of Bradford City at Valley Parade, and finally back to Huddersfield and the John Smith’s Stadium – the route was far from easy!
Commenting on the walk, Club Ambassador Andy Booth said:
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who took part in Walk4Pounds: The Sinnott 25!
“Obviously Jordan means a lot to me and the Club, so to honour him with this walk is just incredible.
“It was a long day and a tough journey, but it was all worth it when they had they lap of honour and received such fantastic support.
“Many thanks to our sponsor The Skinny Food CO. for supporting this event and to everyone who made the walk possible.
“We should all be proud of our Club!”
