Despite making a host of chances in both halves, Town lost out 2-1 to Rotherham in an early Saturday afternoon kick-off.
With goals from Conor Washington and Gerogie Kelly either side of a fine Danny Ward strike, the Millers ruthlessness in front of goal was the difference on the day.
Making a number of chances throughout, Town were profligate in the final third and didn’t let their possession count, with that final ball and delivery elusive throughout.
The one time Town did find their cutting edge, Sorba Thomas and Danny Ward connected from a corner that was straight from the training ground, with Thomas’ cutback inch perfect for Ward to sweep home.
With a late shout for a penalty on Jack Rudoni that wasn’t given, the game fizzled out with Town still looking for a first away win of the season.
