A first clean sheet away from home saw Town earn a point at the Riverside against Middlesbrough, with the Terriers enjoying the better chances to win the game.

Making two changes and adjusting the shape of the side, it was a more balanced Town side that resulted in a far more solid performance, giving the side something to build on in the games to come.

Despite the well-earned point, it may well have been three if Town took one of their chances, with forward Danny Ward unable to make the most of two good openings either side of half-time.

The first saw a cross flashed across the face of goal that he was unable to make a connection with to turn toward the target, with the second a clearer sight at goal following a great strike from range by Jack Rudoni, with the goalkeeper spilling the ball into the path of Ward who saw his rebound turned behind for a corner.

With a week to go until Millwall visit the John Smith’s Stadium, the side can now look to build on this point and return to winning ways at home whilst maintaining the defensive solidity that was so evident on Teesside.
