The points were shared at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday night as a finish from Jordan Rhodes from the spot and a Ben Jackson goal following a set piece were added to an own goal to get Town a point away from home.

The Terriers started quickly at Kenilworth Road, pressing high and attacking well at every opportunity as they looked to go ahead early.

With the pressure eventually showing, Town hit the lead following an own goal from Luton Town as the corner taken by Sorba Thomas deflected off Carlton Morris to go into the back of the net.

Town didn’t keep the lead for long, however, as Elijah Adebayo scored his first of two goals that night as he struck the ball from the centre of the box to find the back of Lee Nicholls’ net as Town failed to clear the ball effectively.

After being awarded a penalty for handball, Rhodes stepped up confidently to get Town back in front as he scored his fourth goal of the season by converting with a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner.

Luton Town then scored two goals within 10 minutes in order to get the Hatters in front just before half time, with Adebayo scoring his second and Jordan Clark getting his name on the scoresheet.

The second half saw both sides come out the same way they did in the first half, Luton Town wanted to keep the lead and Town were looking to equalise and get themselves back in the game – which happened in the 70th minute from Ben Jackson following a second assist from Thomas from the corner flag and that was the last goal of the game to see the points shared.
