Mark Fotheringham says he “wants to give the supporters something to be proud of” when spoke to the media on Monday afternoon.

Speaking to the media in his press conference, Mark spoke about team news ahead of our Sky Bet Championship game against Preston North End on Tuesday evening.

“There are no extra injury concerns from the Rotherham game, and we’ve got so many players to choose from between the First Team and the Academy.

“As we go, I learn more about the players and we’ve got new players bedding themselves in too.

“I give everyone a chance, and if you train well every day of the week and perform, you’ll be involved – that’s the way I have always done it and always known it.”

Fotheringham then reflected on Town’s previous game against Rotherham United at the weekend.

“I was very hard and aggressive in a meeting yesterday because the two goals we conceded weren’t good enough.

“It’s a difficult result to accept because of the number of chances we created, so that disappointment has been hard to shake.

“We had a lot of control in the game for large amounts of time and we made it hard for Rotherham, but we need to do that for the full game.”

Our Head Coach spoke about how he has found the support from the fans since becoming a Terrier.

“You have no idea how special it is to have the fans chanting ‘Mark Fotheringham’s barmy army’ after such a short time, it makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck – it means a lot to me and my family.

“We want to give the supporters something to be proud of.”

Finally, Mark looked to tomorrow’s game when we welcome Preston North End to the John Smith’s Stadium.

“Preston are a very hard working team.

“Every team in this League is very capable, so we’ll give everyone the right amount of respect – but our focus is on us.”
