Mark Fotheringham says he is expecting “aggressive and direct” football from Luton Town when he spoke to the press on Monday morning.

Speaking to the media in his press conference, Mark spoke about team news ahead of our Sky Bet Championship against Luton Town on Tuesday evening.

“No real changes to our availability, everyone has recovered well – they came in yesterday and did a very intense session.

“Yuta came off because he’d been away with Japan, we hadn’t had much time working together.

“Pat Jones isn’t far off, it’s not a serious issue, he’s working with our medical staff,

“Tino is suffering with Glandular Fever – it’s a tough illness so he’ll need time.”

Fotheringham then reflected on the previous game against Reading at the weekend.

“It’s important that we move on fast, but that we learn from it too.

“The three goals were unacceptable, and a Club like Huddersfield shouldn’t be conceding goals like that – the group have been told that and really taken that on board.

“We were able to move to a new system in the second half and you saw the change in the pattern in the game.

“We need to understand that we need to increase the performance levels of this group, and it’s coming.

“I’ve been involved with teams coming into a large volume of games, and the boys have shown a real response in training – that’s great to see.”

Our Head Coach discussed how impressed he has been with his squad and more that he wants to see from them.

“You can see from the stands when you watch the likes of Tom Lees and Jonathan Hogg, they are warriors and I love players like that.

“I keep telling Sorba to be himself, and express himself, he’s so willing to learn and that’s what I like about him.

“Ben Jackson plays without fear, and I was really impressed when he came on – the energy he plays with, he can play in this league.”

Finally, Mark looked to the game tomorrow against Luton Town and what he expects.

“Luton are a good team, they’re very aggressive and direct, but they like to play football as well.

“We’ll see on Tuesday if we’re getting to where we want to be – we are building every week and we’ll get there.”
