B Team Coach Jon Worthington was pleased with the performance from his team they maintained their 100% record in the Premier League Cup this campaign after winning their fourth group stage game against Middlesbrough at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Speaking after the victory at the John Smith’s Stadium, B Team Manager Jon Worthington shared his delight with htafc.com.

“I’m really pleased with the lads, I thought they were very professional today.

“They controlled large parts of the game, and because of their effort and teamwork we got a really positive result today.”

Worthy then spoke about qualifying to the knockout stages of the competition with two games of the group stage left to play.

“It’s really positive but I know the lads go into every game with the mindset of wanting to win the game and they will continue to do that in the next two games so we can finish at the top of the group.

“Finishing top of the group is the next short-term goal we will set ourselves.”

Jon was happy with his team’s performance – from the starters to the substitutes that came on to impact.

“I thought all the lads and the substitutes who contributed played well.

“It was a real team effort, and everyone did their role to help the team.”

Town’s B Team Head Coach commented on the youngsters’ preparations going into the next round of the competition.

“Nothing changes, we will continue to work as we would do any other normal week, the schedule is pretty relentless for the lads in terms of the training sessions and the individual work they do, and nothing will change going into the knockout stages after we finish the group stage.”

The B Team is back in action in this competition on at the John Smith’s Stadium on Friday 9 December, hosting Watford in a 7pm kick-off!
