TOWN TO PAY TRIBUTE AT SWANSEA ‘REMEMBRANCE’ GAME

9 November 2022

Town fans and players to pay respects at home on Saturday

- Remembrance Day plans for Saturday’s fixture
- Royal British Legion to collect around the ground
- ‘The Last Post’ to be played

Saturday’s home fixture against Swansea City will be used to commemorate Remembrance Day.

The Club will make several tributes to honour the work done by the Armed Forces and remember those who have given their lives protecting our country.

Collectors for the Royal British Legion will be around the John Smith’s Stadium on 12 November 2022 to receive donations towards their great cause.

Alongside this, a special poppy banner will be on show in the centre-circle from 2pm – a sign of the Club’s respect. The captains of both teams will also lay a poppy wreath on the pitch.

Before kick-off, a bugler will play ‘The Last Post’ on the pitch prior to the minutes silence, which will be observed at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Town players shirts with the poppy emblems on the front will be auctioned off by Matchworn Shirts after the game to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Additionally, special poppy pin badges featuring the Town crest are still available online on shop.htafc.com – CLICK HERE, or in person at the Stadium Store, so you can support both your Terriers and our fallen heroes on Saturday.
