Huddersfield Town defender Josh Ruffels said that he felt ‘deflated’ after his side were beaten 0-2 at home by Sunderland tonight.

Two second half goals from the visitors undid a promising start to the game from Town, and the Terriers profligacy in front of goal cost them on the night.

Summing up the match, Ruffels shared his disappointment with the result speaking to HTTV.

“The weather didn’t help at times, it’s a frustrating one.

“I think we actually played really well first half considering the conditions that we had, created some good chances but finishing them off has been the problem for us in the final third.

“We were creating and doing the things we’ve been doing in training, but it just didn’t come off for us tonight, and those split-second moments they had were the difference, I think they only really had one or two chances but were clinical.

“That’s really disappointing for us considering the clean sheets we’ve kept the past few weeks.”

Going on to discuss the mood in the dressing room and need to recover ahead of another tough match away on Saturday, you can watch the full interview via HTTV below.
