Huddersfield Town Head Coach Mark Fotheringham spoke about his team news, the World Cup break, and our upcoming Sky Bet Championship game against Swansea City in his latest press conference.

Speaking to the media in his press conference, Mark spoke about team news and gave an update on injures ahead of our Sky Bet Championship game against Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.

“Tom Lees and David Kasumu will be back on Saturday - Etienne Camara is going to be out again, but when he comes back after the break, he will be stronger.

“We can improve the injury situation further during the international break, which will be brilliant.

“Tino Anjorin should be back after the break – he is being monitored by the doctors at the moment and working on his fitness, but I am having to reign myself in with him because I really want him involved but we have to respect the full process of his recovery.”

Our Head Coach discussed the upcoming World Cup break and how this will help his squad regain fitness and re-energise.

“It’s massive that we get this break, it’ll be like a mini pre-season for us and we will hopefully get more of our squad back from injury, while working to get more of our ideas into the players and get some quality work in.

“Their work-rate is incredible, especially with the volume of games we’re playing at the moment.”

Fotheringham spoke about Sorba Thomas being called up for the World Cup.

“It’s a credit to Sorba and his family that he is going to the World Cup, and we’re all really proud of him – it’ll be an incredible experience.

“It’s also a credit to Michał Helik that he was in contention for Poland and named in their initial longlist.

“Poland have a real strength in depth so for his name to be in the mix is a real positive, and we’ll work with him through his international break now instead.”

Mark then looked ahead to tomorrow’s game against Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship.

“Swansea are a good side with a good manager in Russell Martin, he has a real idea of how he wants his side to play.

“They’ve been training as a group for a long time now, so that’s a contrast to us – the side we played against QPR had probably trained together twice.”
