Town came from behind and were rewarded with their first away three points of the season against Queens Park Rangers!
After going 1-0 down in the first two minutes, Town kept up the energy in the first half to turn the game around and defended brilliantly in the second half to secure the win.
Town looked to go ahead in the opening seconds of the game, but Danny Ward’s shot was blocked by the QPR ‘keeper and this the allowed the home side to break down the other end and take the lead. However, Josh Ruffels put Town back level within the first ten minutes from a set piece delivered by Sorba Thomas.
Not satisfied with one goal and leaving with a draw, Town pushed forwards and were awarded a free kick in a dangerous area. Thomas once again delivered the cross into the box, which was headed down by Will Boyle and found the feet of Ruffels, who scored an overhead kick on the edge of the box.
The second half saw brilliant defending and outstanding saves made by our captain, Lee Nicholls, allowing Town to leave the capital with all three points and our first away win of the season!
