ETIENNE CAMARA’S CONTRACT EXTENDED

23 November 2022

Midfielder hits appearance threshold for one-year extension

- Etienne Camara’s Huddersfield Town contract extended
- French midfielder hits trigger on 2022/23 appearances
- 19-year-old’s deal now runs until the summer of 2024

Etienne Camara has hit an appearance-based trigger that has extended his existing contract with Huddersfield Town into the 2023/24 season!

The 19-year-old Frenchman has already started 10 games across league and cup for Town’s First Team in the 2022/23 campaign, which has activated a clause to extend his deal until 30 June 2024.

Born in Noisy-le-Grand – a suburb of Paris – Etienne joined the Town Academy in October 2020 from French side Angers SCO.

He made his senior debut for the Club in January 2021, coming on as a substitute in our Emirates FA Cup game against Plymouth Argyle at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Camara has subsequently established himself in the team under new Head Coach Mark Fotheringham, starting eight straight Sky Bet Championship games under the Scotsman before a hip injury side-lined him heading into the current international break.
